Family members of the tea garden overseer abducted from Jagun in Eastern Assam’s Tinsukia district have appealed to ULFA-Independent to release him safely.
The 50-year-old tea garden overseer was abducted by a six member group of suspected ULFA-I and NSCN-K cadres on the morning of June 8.
Following combined search operations after the incident, police arrested an ULFA-Independent linkman identified as Babu Basumatary.
The family members requested the abductors to safely release Upadhaya. They also appealed to the government to ensure his safe release.
