Woes have escalated for the N Biren Singh led government in Manipur, as the government employees in the state have intensified their cease work strike after the second rounds of talks between the government and the protesting employees failing to yield results.

Several offices including the Secretariat staged cease work today demonstrating a sit in protest demanding early implementation of the 7th pay commission in Manipur. The strike which started on March 22nd , entered its 78th day today swelling the problems of the government.
