The Nagaland government is all set to hold a high-level meeting at state capital Kohima today. The meeting will seek to break the current deadlock in the peace talks following the suspension of dialogues by the Naga National Political Groups.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton will be attending the meet apart from other top ministers and officials of the state government.

Apart from this, a high level delegation will leave for New Delhi tomorrow to meet top leaders to get the NNPGs back to the peace talks ambit. The state government is also going to impress upon the Centre to direct its agencies not to initiate action which may jeopardise the peace process.

Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton told exclusively to Northeast Live that the June 2 raid at the residence of NNPG leader V. Nagi was carried out without the knowledge of the state government. Patton also said that no arrest warrent has been issued against NNPG co-convenor V. Nagi yet.
