The Meghalaya Congress broke its silence slamming the State Government for the present turmoil in Shillong, saying that the Government has failed to sustain peace.

Former Meghalaya Chief Minister and Congress legislator Mukul Sangma while briefing the media after the all important Congress Legislature Party meet said that the Government has failed miserably to handle the issue.

Sangma said that within three months of assuming power in the State, the Government has messed up everything. The Congress has further demanded for a judicial inquiry into the entire episode.
