Fresh incidents of violence have been reported from trouble torn Shillong with stone pelting once again being reported from the Motphran area forcing police to fire tear gas shells yet again.

In fact despite heavy security presence, incidents of stone pelting continued throughout the day forcing the police to fire tear gas shells.

The affected area, Motphran and vicinity looked like a virtual war-zone on most parts of the day with the polcie and protesters engaged in clashes throughout. The army which conducted a flag march last night was also said to be in standby for any escalation.
