The Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad announced intensified second phase of mass agitation against the proposed controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill during an exclusive interview with North East Live.

Palash Changmai, the General Secretary of the organization said that his organization will now tie up with Akhil Gogoi’s ‘Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti’ to generate more intensity during the second phase of the agitation.

On June 1st all the district and regional committees of AJYCP will bring out torch rallies across the state to protest against the controversial bill. Then, on June 12, AJYCP and KMSS will organize a massive ‘Raj Bhawan Chalo’ rally in Guwahati during which thousands of activists and general public will lay siege to the Governor’s residence.
