Assam’s musical heart-throb Zubeen Garg is in the news for the wrong reason again.

Garg, during a Bihu function on Monday evening at Kamakhya, expressed his opinion against animal sacrifice.

He called upon for the end of animal sacrifice at the holy Kamakhya shrine. He stated that Goddess Kamakhya does not wish animal sacrifice of any kind.

He even went on to say that people should sacrifice themselves instead of sacrificing innocent animals.

Zubeen was speaking in context of the recent visit of Bollywood actor Govinda to the temple where he reportedly sacrificed a buffalo to the goddess.

Zubeen’s latest comments have not gone down well with the residents of the Kamakhya hill.
