Elephant injured at Garbhanga forest, State Forest Minister pays visit to take stock of situation

An elephant has been lying injured at the Garbhanga forest reserve close to the city of Guwahati.

The elephant has been reportedly lying injured for the last five days in the vicinity and is now lying on the ground writhing in pain.

It is being suspected that the elephant sustained injuries on one of its legs while engaging in a combat with another tusker.

Today state forest minister Parimal Suklabaidya visited the injured elephant and took stock of the situation.

Currently, a team of doctors are attending to the injured jumbo. The elephant continues to receive treatment from the team of doctors.
