In the midst of all the outrage against the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal had a meeting with some of the eminent citizens of Guwahati.

The meeting was being organised as an outreach programme on the occasion of the BJP led Assam state government competing two years of its tenure.

The controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill was also taken up during the meet by the Chief Minister. The meet was held at the PWD department’s auditorium in the city. The meet was also attended by Assam state BJP president Ranjit Das.
