Amidst uproar across the northeast region over the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has reiterated the Centre’s commitment in protecting the rights of migrants who are Indian
Amidst uproar across the northeast region over the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has reiterated the Centre’s commitment in protecting the rights of migrants who are Indian but have migrated to Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan and allegedly facing religious persecution.
Talking at a special show in leading news channel, Aaj Tak Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that the Centre cannot discriminate people and that it had introduced the Bill to relieve the migrants. Not only this Rajnath Singh that before passing the Bill everyone will be taken into consideration even if there are any differences in opinions.
Meanwhile, Assam is still witnessing protests against the bill with organisations and the common people taking to the streets in protest against the Centre over the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill
