Congress units across the country and the region observed the occasion as Vishwasghat Diwas, slamming the BJP-led government at the centre for not fulfilling its promises.

The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee staged a rally in Itanagar highlighting the BJP led government’s alleged failure in bringing about development.

Members of the Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee too staged protest in Agartala slamming the BJP-led government at the centre for allegedly betraying the common people. Meanwhile, Congress in Manipur also staged protest.
