Fuel prices hiked for the tenth consecutive day as people face the burden of inflation.

Tuesday evening saw petrol prices being hiked by 31 paise. Currently, the petrol prices in Assam are at Rs 79.34.

On the other hand, diesel prices got hiked by 27 paise. Each litre of diesel now currently costs Rs 71.34.

Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee protest

Meanwhile, the price hike of petrol and diesel has also impacted upon lives of the common people in Shillong.

The Congress in Meghalaya also staged vehement protest against the steep increase in fuel prices.
