The deadly Nipah virus has taken 10 more lives in Kerala. The state is put on high alert over the infection.
The reason behind the outbreak is said to be due to bodies of dead bats found in a well near Kozhikode. Most of the affected belonged to regions of Kozhikode and Mallapuram.
Meanwhile, a nurse has also lost her life in due to the deadly virus. Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja visited Government Medical College Hospital in Kozhikode to take stock of the situation.
