According to reports, China has begun large-scale mining operations on its side of the border with Arunachal Pradesh where a huge trove of Gold, silver and other precious minerals valued at about 60 billion US dollars have been found.

The media reports projected the mining operations as part of China’s move to take over Arunachal Pradesh.

Meanwhile, China defended its large-scale mining operations in a mineral-rich county adjacent to the border with Arunachal Pradesh, asserting that the area belongs to it and Beijing enjoys full sovereignty to conduct such geological activities there.
