With man-elephant conflict refusing to die in Assam, a woman and her daughter were trampled to death by a herd of wild elephants at Lahorijan in Karbi Anglong district’s Bokajan
With man-elephant conflict refusing to die in Assam, a woman and her daughter were trampled to death by a herd of wild elephants at Lahorijan in Karbi Anglong district’s Bokajan area.
The deceased duo have been identified as Munmi Devi while her 3 year old daughter has been identified as Puja Kumari.
On the other hand wild elephants are on a rampage at Dhanubhanga in Goalpara district’s Rangjuli.
However, the locals have alleged that the forest department has taken up no measures to chase away the elephants.
