The BJP in Arunachal Pradesh has slammed the Congress for politicising the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill issue.
Speaking exclusively to Northeast Live Jarpum Gamlin, General Secretary of the state BJP unit said the Congress is trying to mislead the people over the bill.
Gamlin stated that while he completely supports and shares the sentiments expressed by the likes of the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union on the issue, the Congress should refrain from politicising the matter.
The BJP leader also appealed to all like-minded people, organisations and parties to have a debate and discussion on the matter even as he reassured that the primary objective of the BJP is to secure the rights of the indigenous people of the state.
