Sensation prevails in Cachar District of Assam after a group of miscreants shot at a taxi driver from very close range leading to his death on the spot.
The deceased has been identified as Srikanta Dhar who was a taxi driver by profession. Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation into the case.
Although there are no leads into the incident yet, it is being suspected by the police that militants from around the area are most likely behind the incident.
