A rhino has been killed and de-horned by poachers at Kukurakata under the Burhapahar range of the world famous Kaziranga National Park.
This is the fourth rhino to have been killed by poachers in the world heritage site this year and the first one to be killed since Parimal Suklabaidya took over as the forest minister of Assam.
And according to latest reports coming in a fierce gun-battle is on between forest, police personnel and poachers.
