The three accused men, who allegedly claimed to be cadres of the outlawed ULFA-Independent, barged into the house of the victim and reportedly threatened the victim before allegedly raping her in turns. The family members were also allegedly physically tortured by the three armed men.
However, the police are yet to ascertain as to whether the men were members of the outlawed outfit or they belonged to some other outfit. Meanwhile, locals had called upon the ULFA-I to clarify its stand on the issue.
