The Northeast Human Rights organisation has moved the police calling for strong action against a tourism department official of government of Arunachal Pradesh who has been accused of raping a student of the Himalayan University on March 30.
The incident came to light after the victim filed a complaint with the police on April 28. The complainant further alleged that police had not done anything to arrest the accused so far.
Meanwhile, the Northeast Human Rights Organisation in Arunachal Pradesh also wrote a letter to the superintendent of police for the immediate arrest of the accused identified as Tshering Norbu.
