Huge pile of plastics, glass and alcohol bottles were recovered by GMC workers while cleaning these drains.

The city witnesses artificial flooding during monsoons every year due to clogged drains resulting in poor drainage.

The administration however aims to improve the dismal state of affairs before the onset of monsoon to avoid and minimise the affect of artificial flooding in Guwahati.
