The construction work of the all important Churachandpur Sugnu road stretch which has been taken up under the Public Works Department and funded Rs 47 crore by the DoNER ministry under Social and Industrial Development Funds or the SIDF was inspected by the Joint Secy, Ministry of DONER SL Meena.
The road covering a span of 27 kms which has been kept unattended for more than 30 years now assumes a lot of importance by virtue of its location, directly linking the international border trade centers of Moreh with Churachandpur town.
Meena was accompanied by Singngat MLA and Chairman MANIREDA, GS Haupu, Deputy Commissioner Churachandpur Shyamlal Punia, official of PWD and other subordinate officials of the department.
The inspecting team took a close look at the road stretch Lailoiphai village to judge the quality of maintenance at certain portions.
