Assam to set up 19 new cancer hospitals

19 new cancer hospitals to come up in Assam by 2019.

The hospitals will be set up by the Assam Government in collaboration with the Tata Trust and the Assam Cancer Care Foundation. This was disclosed by health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The hospitals will come up in Kokrajhar, Dhubri, Goalpara, Nagaon, Darrang, Lakhimpur, Tinsukia, Sivasagar, Golaghat, Haflong, Karimganj, Jorhat, Barpeta, Diphu, Dibrugarh, Silchar and Tezpur.
