A shocking incident of a Class 9 girl student being mercilessly beaten up by her teacher in Assam’s Charaideo district has come to light.

The incident took place at Deroi Rangali High School in the district, where a teacher named Ananda Kurmi, allegedly had beaten a Class 9 standard girl.

The student was allegedly beaten until she became unconscious and fell onto the ground. Later, sensing danger the school headmaster took the girl to her home.

The accused teacher was arrested by police following an FIR that was lodged by the victim’s parents at the Moranhat Police Station. However, the accused teacher is now out on bail.

Meanwhile, the parents of the girl and the villagers will approach the Inspector of Schools of Charaideo district today to press on their demand for dismissal of the teacher from his job.

It is not the first time that the Deroi Rangali High School is making the headlines for wrong reasons.

Back in January this year a similar incident took place in the same school, when a student was beaten up by an office staff.

The locals outraged over the incident took the matter in their own hands and beat the office staff who had physically assaulted the student back then.
