Sensation prevails in Assam’s Charaideo district after brawl breaks out between army personnel and bihu committee members in Sonari.
The Army has reacted to the entire episode of brawl between its personnel and members of a Bihu committee at Sonari in Eastern Assam’s Charaideo district.
The Army has confirmed that two of its personnel had gone to Digoli Pathar High School Field in civil dress after having received inputs that suspected ULFA insurgents were likely to attend the Bihu function.
However, on the other hand locals allege that it were the Army personnel who thrashed the Bihu Committee members.
Meanwhile, few journalists who were present at the spot were also injured in the brawl.
