Tension has broken out again at the state border between Assam and Mizoram. As per reports, miscreants from Mizoram have made attempts to encroach upon Assam’s land in the Hailakandi

Tension has broken out again at the state border between Assam and Mizoram.

As per reports, miscreants from Mizoram have made attempts to encroach upon Assam’s land in the Hailakandi district. Attempts to encroach upon Assam’s land has been made in the areas of Kurethal and Gendachara when miscreants tried to do some construction work in the area with the help of elephants and excavator.

The incident has created sensation in the area and a meeting regarding the matter has also taken place between the district collector and the local MLA Radheshyam Biswas. It is to be noted that encroachment efforts were also made in the month of March by Mizo miscreants in the Kachurthal area of Hailakandi district in Assam.
