Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb seems to have caught the attention of the media once again. But this time it is not for one of his controversial statements that received widespread criticism across the country in the recent past.
In order to take stock of the ground situation in the storm-affected areas, the Chief Minister visited the areas of Chanmari in the outskirts of Agartala where hundreds of houses were badly damaged.
The Chief Minister along with administrative officials visited the affected houses and took note of the damage. Deb also interacted with the victims on their problems.
The affected people were given Rs 5000 in advance and people whose houses were completely damaged due to the storm will be given Rs 95,000 each.
