A foreign tourist was robbed by two miscreants while he was on his way to Majuli, the centre of Vaishnavite culture.
The miscreants decamped with several valuables besides cash of the Israeli tourist.
However, the Dispur police soon swung into action and managed to arrest one of the culprit identified as Dipankar Haloi.
