Coming off in the same process, the Assam state government sought to preserve the house of eminent writer Lakhminath Bezbaruah’s residence in Odisha last year, a similiar process will be undertaken to preserve noted singer Dr. Bhupen Hazarika’s house in Kolkata.
This was stated by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at a public Bihu function in Guwahati while he was remembering Hazarika and his works.
Hazarika’s house at Kolkata’s Tollygunge locality is noted as the place where the legendary singer wrote and composed many of his immortal works.
