Demanding a permanent campus of the Sikkim Central University, the Sikkim University Student’s Association or the SUSA took out a protest rally today.
Reportedly, at present the University is functioning under 40 rented buildings spreaded along the NH10.
SUSA President Lalit Pokhrel Sharma, while talking to newspersons, said that even after 11 years of establishment of the university, the university lacked a proper campus.
The students maintained that they will continue their protest until they get a written assurance from the university administration.
The students further voiced their dissatisfaction over the politicization of the issue by various state political parties.
