Following the controversy surrounding the role of the Satra Mahasabha and its General Secretary supporting the granting of citizenship to Hindu Bangladeshis.

The Satra Mahasabha today came down heavily on its General Secretary Sattradhikar Janardan Deva Goswami saying that he does not have any right to speak on behalf of the Sattra Mahasabha.

It may be mentioned that for the first time a protest rally has been organized in the Satra nagar of Majuli against any Sattradhikar. The Majuli unit of AASU has also slammed the Sattradhikar.
