Villagers rescue two pythons in Nagaland

In an incident of reptiles taking shelter in human habitation, two pythons were rescued and handed over to the forest department by three villagers and the residents of Pfutsero town under Phek district of Nagaland.
The two pythons were found alive when the three persons had gone to buy them from a local market for consumption. When asked, they said that they wanted to protect and preserve the pythons and also requested the department to take utmost care of these beautiful creatures.
While, the bigger python weighs 36 kg and is 13.4 ft long, the smaller one is said to be 7.6 ft long and weighs around 6-7 kg.
