Festive fervour grips Assam with people celebrating Rongali Bihu and ushering in the Assamese new year with traditional zeal and fervour.

The celebrations mark the beginning of the Assamese New Year and the end of the harvesting season amidst much fanfare.
Rongali Bihu celebration continues for whole of the month and beyond with people organising different cultural programmes and functions in different parts of the state.
