The SPs of Hojai and other SPs have been alerted following the joining of Assam youth in the terror group Hizbul Mujahideen in Jammu & Kashmir.
The Assam police is also specifically following up on missing cases with fears looming large that more youths may have made their way to such terror outfits.
The mother of the Hizbul militant Kamruddin had revealed that several more youths from the area of Jamunamukh are in Kashmir and the latest development raises a question mark on their whereabouts and activities.
As mentioned by high level sources, the state police are keeping an eye on suspected elements who have gone to Maharashtra and Kerala in search for employment or education.
