In the midst of NRC update and detection of foreigners, some startling facts have come to light.
A total of 192 Bangladeshi nationals had entered Assam through the Karimganj sector with valid passports and visa, but never went back. This was revealed by Karimganj district’s Commissioner during an interview.
It has been discovered that there are no traces of them making their return journey upon the expiration of the visa and passports.
All of these 192 Bangladeshis had entered India through the border check posts of Karimganj and Sutarkandi. Meanwhile, police has got no information about these 192 Bangladeshis who entered India in 2001.
