Nagaland’s Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton called on the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at his official residence in New Delhi on Thursday.

Patton, while deliberating on the financial situation of the state, urged the Union Home Minister to release Special Plan Assistance liabilities of Rs. 863.95 crore at the earliest.

He further requested for security related expenditure reimbursement and to include mobile internet charges. The Home Minister agreed to take up the matter and assured Patton of all possible help for the state.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Deputy Chief Minister also met the Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju and appraised him about the current situation in the state.
