Former Nagaland chief minister TR Zeliang has been issued a fresh summon by the National Investigation Agency in connection with the probe into pay offs to NSCN-K by government departments.
The summon comes barely days after the NIA arrested three senior Nagaland government officials in connection with extortion from government departments on behalf of NSCN-K.
Zeliang has been asked to appear at the NIA headquarters in New Delhi on March 31. A summon has also been issued to Zeliang’s then personal secretary to appear before the NIA on the same day.
However, he had personally written for deferment of the date for his cross examination because of the ongoing Assembly session, which ended on March 26.
