Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy on Monday constituted a 3-member expert committee in order to consider the implementation of 7th Central Pay Commission for the State Government employees.
The committee will also have Tripura Urban Development Principal Secretary Manoj Kumar as its member and Tripura Additional Secretary for Department of Finance, PR Bhattacharya as its member secretary.
The expert committee will examine, review, evolve and recommend changes that are required and feasible in regards to the principles that should govern the emoluments structure including pay, allowances and other benefits in cash or kind, having regard to rationalization and simplification therein as well as the specialised needs of various departments, agencies and services in respect of State Government employees, employees of sub-ordinate judiciary, employees of Tripura Legislative Assembly Secretariat, employees of Tripura Public Service Commission, Grant-in-aid School employees of Tripura Board of Secondary education and other Constitutional Bodies.
The Committee will also determine the fixation formula and the multiplication factor for revision of pay for existing employees and will further derive the minimum pay consequent upon the determination of the multiplication factor.
