After a series of ongoing conflicts between man and animal across Assam, a report about four leopard cubs being rescued at Jakoba Tea Estate by some workers at Sonari in Upper Assam’s Charaideo district ushered in positive hope.

The cubs were rescued from the tea estate premises by the workers while informing the local forest department officials. It was reported that the cubs were later released in a nearby forest, suspecting the mother leopard to be still around.

Lately, Assam has witnessed several instances where leopards and man have come into conflict with each other. One of those instances being, the capture of a black panther that was found roaming around the vicinity of human habitation at Duliajan, recently.
