BJP’s ally in Tripura, the IPFT, also a part of the Government in the State, has once again reiterated its demand for a separate state in a massive rally at Rajghat in New Delhi.

Seven organisations from the Northeast took part in the rally in the National Capital demanding the Centre to come up with a specific policy on creation of new States in the region.

Interestingly, the BJP has been claiming that the IPFT had given up their demand for a separate state in Tripura.
Meanwhile, asking for a response by Northeast Live, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb who is in Delhi refused to comment on the issue.
