Baruah further alleged that it is an attempt by the Congress to create controversy. The Assam Tourism corporation chairman also stated that the tourism department is making profits after Priyanka became the Brand Ambassador of Assam.

Earlier, on Monday Congress held her picture in the midst of the assembly demanding the removal of the actor as the state’s brand ambassador.

The MLAs alleged that the actress appeared in several photographs within the Assam tourism calendar wearing ‘minimal clothes’, which has brought a bad name to the culture of Assam.
