Giving his reactions to the assassination of NCP leader Jonathone Sangma, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said on Monday that there is no law and order in Meghalaya and this has led to utter chaos and lawlessness.
The Home minister also said that the state was reeling under unrest, while maintaining that absence of law and order is a barrier in initiating the process of development.
While taking pot shots at the Mukul Sangma led Congress government, Singh said that the Centre led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given topmost priority in developing the Northeast region among the rest of the states.
